When We Say No Without Knowing

Sometimes our "no" to Jesus doesn't sound like rebellion. It looks like distraction, addiction, pride, or pain. We don’t even realize we’re rejecting Him because we’re too busy numbing the wounds that only He can heal.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” —Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)

Personal Reflection

Sometimes our "no" to Jesus doesn't sound like rebellion.  It doesn’t come with fists raised or voices shouting back at heaven.  Sometimes, it looks like distraction—scrolling endlessly just to escape.  It looks like addiction—using whatever we can to silence the ache.  It looks like pride—trying to hold it all together because letting go feels like weakness.  It looks like pain—buried so deep we don’t even remember where it started.

We don’t even realize we’re rejecting Him, because we’re too busy numbing the wounds
that only He can heal.  I used to think rebellion meant loud defiance, but my rebellion was quiet.  It looked like me saying, “I got this,” when I was barely holding on.

It looked like success on the outside but torment on the inside.  I was functioning, but I wasn’t free.  Smiling, but still bound.  Present, but not whole.  I didn’t need a motivational quote.  I needed a miracle and that miracle came the moment I stopped numbing...
and started kneeling.

Kingdom Key

When we’re in the world, we think we’re making choices freely. But outside of Christ, we’re not free—we’re enslaved. Surrender to Jesus is the only way to close the doors we didn’t even know we left wide open.

My Prayer with You

Father, just like You did with me, I pray You take my friend by the hand. Interrupt every slow drift away from You. Show them the truth hidden beneath the noise. I speak life over their decisions, their identity, their calling. May today be a YES—a full, surrendered yes to You. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
